How to Get There

2008 East Coast Rally Site - Aberdeen MD.

The rally site is located 1/4-mile northwest of I-95 on Gilbert Road.

Take I-95 Exit 85 (Aberdeen/Churchville) and go west toward Churchville on MD 22. Approximately .5-mile from the I-95 interchange, at the traffic signal, turn right onto Long Drive. Go .7-mile to a right turn into the rally entrance gate at the Ripken Stadium Complex.

For our visitors arriving by public transportation, the rally site is convenient to Balitmore-Washington International Airport near Baltimore. Greyhound Bus lines and Amtrak and MARC Rail serve the nearby community of Aberdeen and are approximately four miles from the rally site. Two taxi companies stage at the train stations when trains are scheduled to arrive. Average fare to the rally is $7.00. Enterprise and Avis rental cars are available in town. These companies provide pickup service for renters.

Admission is free for visitors and participants!

Thursday - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Friday     - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Vendor Fees

18' x 18' (324 sq. ft.) Space - $50.00 per space (standard size.)
18' x 27' (486 sq. ft.) Space - $65.00 per space (extra-large size.)
(Located on end of rows. Limited number available.)

Vendor name tags and vehicle passes.

Vendor name tags and vehicle passes included with the price of spaces are issued as follows:

  • One Space - Two (2) Vendor Name Tags, and One (1) Vehicle Pass
  • Two Spaces - Three (3) Vendor Name Tags, and One (1) Vehicle Pass
  • Three or more Spaces - Four (4) Vendor Name Tags, and Two (2) Vehicle Passes

Additional Vendor Name Tags and Vehicle Passes available at the following rates:

  • Additional Vendor Name Tag - $6.00 each.
  • Additional Vendor Vehicle Pass - $25.00 each. (Not required for Military Vehicles)

Restaurants

There are a number of restaurants in and around the Aberdeen Maryland area. These establishments range from well known fast food outlets, buffet-style, theme restaurants as well as family-owned restaurants and diners. You are sure to find something that suits your taste.

Shopping

There are several stores in and around the Aberdeen Maryland area where necessities and supplies may be purchased. These include groceries, several super stores, home center stores, a motor coach and travel trailer parts supply, and many other establishments catering to your everyday needs. There are several antique shops within a five mile radius of the rally site.

Attractions and Entertainment

Within 10 miles of the rally site you will find local area museums, antique shops, golf courses (both full links and minature), batting cages and movies.

The city of Baltimore is 30-miles south and offers many attractions. So bring the family. There is plenty to do in the area. Here is a link to one of the better websites telling what the city has to offer visitors.

Tours

Free tours of the United States Army Ordnance Museum located at the Aberdeen Proving Ground are available. The proving ground museum is located approximately six miles from the rally site.

Airplane Rides

Enjoy the thrill of flying over the rally field in a 1942 U.S. Navy N2S-3 Stearman Bi-plane. This aircraft was used to train many Navy pilots during the early days of Naval aviation. The airplane rides are available at the Harford County Airport that is approximately four miles from the rally site. The owner of the aircraft offers the rides and sets the price. Rides will depend on the availability of the pilot and the cooperation of the weather.

Facilities and Services

Toilets

Toilet facilities consist of portable toilet units and wash stations located around the perimeter of the parking lot. Handicap toilet units are available.
